Wholesalers run very different businesses than retail facilities. You often have merchandise going in and out of your warehouses rapidly, and you’re responsible for the property of multiple vendors all at once.
Depending on the state your business operates within, there may be requirements for certain extensions that are often not available in a standard insurance policy. If the contents on your property are primarily owned by others, many standard policies will come with too many limitations for what they will cover.
That’s why we help you find the right extensions of coverage to protect you:
- Brands & Labels Coverage
- Business Personal Property (off-premises)
- Business Personal Property (in-transit)
- Peak Season Inventory
- Personal Property of Others
Additionally, if you provide any of the following services, it is important for us to customize your policy to cover you precisely:
- Sub-Assembly
- Sequencing
- Installation
- Re-Packaging
- Re-Labeling
- Repair or Service Work
Any questions?
What happens if a disaster shuts down our facility for an extended period of time? Are we covered?
The short answer is yes, there is a way to cover you during this unfortunate time by keeping you from laying people off and even setting up temporary remote operations. However, this protection is not standard on a policy. Give us a call about all of the ways we can customize a policy for you.
In the case that we are sued, will insurance cover litigation costs?
Not necessarily. A lot of that has to do with the customizations we build into your insurance policy. This is why it’s important to work with a team that is trained to uncover all of your risks.
My colleagues were talking about Peak Season Endorsements; do you have any experience with this?
We’re guessing that means your operation is particularly busy during specific months that happen every year … like Christmas! Generally we advise our clients to carry at least general liability throughout the year to cover your regular operations, and then indicate an endorsement to increase your coverage during certain times of the year. That way we can all sleep at night knowing you’re protected.
